4-Month Regression
14 month old boy who mom had to sleep beside all night because he breastfed regularly throughout the night. Mom hadn't slept in bed with Dad since baby was born and she was ready to wean and get better sleep but didn't know where to start. Parents were interested in the Ferber method so we discussed setting timers and paying attention to the boy's cries to learn how to differentiate between a cry that needed to be quickly comforted or a cry that meant he was taking a moment to learn how to self soothe. The baby was sleeping through the night by the 2nd night and the mom felt amazing to be back in her own bed!
Toddler Transition
9 week old boy who had to be held to sleep and wouldn't "go down for the night" until after midnight. Mom had to return to work soon and was desperate to get a good schedule to him to sleep better. We discussed gentle sleep shaping which involved creating a soothing bedtime routine, practicing having baby sleep in his bassinet for most sleeps rather than always being held, and implementing the soothing ladder as appropriate rather than immediately picking up baby or feeding him at every squeak and cry. Within 4 nights baby was getting 7 hour stretches of sleep and was consistently going to bed around 9 pm.

Chelsea has helped with both of my children overcoming milestones in their sleep. She started by helping my 6 month old know how to put himself to sleep without me having to breastfeed or rock him to sleep before laying him down. Now I can easily just go and lay him in his bed and he rolls over and puts himself to sleep on his own! After a couple of months of this routine my son was sleeping through the night by 8 months old. She also helped with my daughter who is almost 2. My daughter was able to put herself to sleep on her own and was sleeping through the night until she suddenly developed a separation anxiety (which I've heard is common at her age). She was absolutely terrified of napping and sleeping alone and would only sleep soundly if she was in bed with us. This became tiresome for my husband and I because we were also in the process of sleep training our 6 month old. Needless to say I was just exhausted. However Chelsea helped my daughter overcome her fear of sleeping in her room and within a week and a half she was back to putting herself to sleep and sleeping through the night! Chelsea was so kind and encouraging and I highly recommend her for those who are sleep deprived and both you and your child NEED SLEEP! I know many moms think that sleep training is only the cry it out method but Chelsea used other techniques for our children that worked wonderfully.
