I am a mom of four grown children, a grandmother of seven, and have spent the past twenty years as a preschool teacher. Throughout my life, my time and energy have been centered on nurturing both my own children and the students I've had the privilege to teach. Before having my first child, I noticed many mothers struggling with their babies' sleep and daily routines. Through a more experienced mom friend, I was introduced to sleep training and learned how to structure a baby's days and nights to support healthy sleep and development. It immediately resonated with me. I wanted to feel prepared and have a plan in place from the very beginning.

By applying what I learned, each of my children became a strong sleeper early on. When family and friends began asking what I was doing, I shared these approaches and had the joy of watching their babies thrive as well.

Now, nearly 30 years later, as I help my own children guide their babies toward healthy sleep habits, I felt called to take this passion further. I became certified through the Center for Pediatric Sleep Management and launched my business, Rhythms of Rest by Claudia Key.

I want to support both new and experienced parents who are struggling to help their babies and young children develop healthy sleep habits and bring a peaceful rhythm of rest into their homes.

I worked with an 8 month old who would only sleep if next to mom and nursing; multiple night wakings and naps were only about 30-45 minutes total per day. Both mother and father were exhausted. I set up a sleep plan with day/night routine and sleep method that the parents were comfortable with, coached them on how to implement it, and by day 2, the baby was falling asleep independently, in her own crib, 8 hours through the night (no more middle of the night feeds) and began sleeping two 1.5 hour naps during the day. By the end of the 2 weeks, baby was sleeping 12 hours through the night as well as her naps.
Toddler Transition
3 month old baby; could only fall asleep if held rocked; multiple night wakes; and struggled with naps. After receiving the sleep plan which included a solid age appropriate routine of feeds, waketimes, and naps/bedtime routine and a sleep method of choice by the parents, I coached them on how to implement it and began the 2 week support with them. By day 1 baby was falling asleep on her own and night time sleep improved. By day 3, she was sleeping her naps and sleeping all through the night (8 hours stretch) with no middle of the night feeds. By the end of the 2 weeks, baby was sleeping independently naps and bedtime and was sleeping 10 hours stretch through the night.

Our experience with Claudia was incredible. Our 7-month-old was already sleeping well through the night, but naps were a real challenge. She would only contact nap for 30–45 minutes at a time. We received personal one on one support when working with our newborn. The sleep package we received was detailed and thorough but what we liked most is that Claudia is a small business owner and focuses on being a real person in a world controlled by technology. Claudia is a blessing ! Being a first time mom worried if my son was eating enough, and is he getting enough sleep because sleep is what helps them grow. After getting in touch with Claudia, she gave a schedule of everything I would do through the day and it worked ! Eventually at 2 1/2 months he was sleeping thought the night and it was truly a blessing. There were many nights at 3 am when my son was not wanting to sleep and I would be a mess!
