With a strong foundation in evidence-based sleep strategies and professional certifications in pediatric, newborn and special needs sleep, Colette Shalhoub, the owner of Sleep Babe, carefully tailors her methods to honor each baby’s needs and each parent’s values and lifestyle. Her philosophy is rooted in the belief that every mother has a natural intuition to guide her baby, and her role is to empower parents with both the tools and resources to have the confidence to trust that inner voice.

Her gentle yet structured approach has helped countless parents create peaceful bedtime routines, longer stretches of nap and nighttime sleep, and a more connected relationship between parent and baby.

4-Month Regression
A 4-month-old with frequent night wakings had to be nursed to sleep during the day and night. The parents tried Ferber and had purchased Taking Cara Babies, but it did not work and they were tired and discouraged. Within our time together, we implemented a gentle method that adjusted the baby's daytime schedule, providing consistent responses to encourage independent sleep that was age-appropriate, and gradually removed the nursing dependency when it related to comfort. Night wakings were eliminated by night 3.
Toddler Transition
13 month old fights naps and multiple wake ups at night and early morning wake-ups. Baby was rocked to sleep and co-sleeping. We transitioned the child to a 1 nap schedule, transitioned the child to a crib, and implemented a sleep training approach that gradually removed the dependency on being rocked to sleep. By week 2, the baby was self soothing and independently falling asleep.
