Deb Pocica

I want to meet people where the are with a gentle push to work through some crying. I talk about the importance of giving babies/toddlers a chance to learn to fall asleep and that safe but uncomfortable is ok for short periods of time. If someone is not comfortable with any crying, then I am not the consultant for them
My philosophy

Better sleep doesn't have to come at the expense of connection. My approach focuses on realistic strategies tailored to your family.

4-Month Regression
15 month old rocked to sleep with several wake night wake ups. Parents were completely exhausted, overwhelmed, and ready for change. We discussed a solid bedtime routine. Then we developed a plan to allow toddler to try to fall asleep for 15 minutes at a time with check-ins after the time if toddler was still awake and struggling. Within 3 nights he went to sleep on his own without rocking to sleep and slept through the night.
Toddler Transition
4 month old that would only sleep on parents. I worked with them in person to put baby down in the sleep space and then pick him back up if he cried. We did this for 2 hours the first night. After night 2 the parents only had to pick up, put down 3-4 times before baby fell asleep independently. After a week, baby could fall asleep on his own, wake for a feed at 3am, and fall back asleep independently after the feed.
