Neurodivergent Children
A sensory-seeking, neurodivergent 6-year-old who had been diagnosed with “pediatric sleep insomnia,” whose family had endured testing, evaluations, sleep studies, and advice from medical professionals finally felt heard and seen. In 2 weeks, they went from multiple lengthy middle-of-the-night wakeups to independent sleep onset and sleeping 10–11 hours straight. The family valued my occupational therapy background, parent guidance, step-by-step texting support, and resources.
Frequent Night Waking
A family of three kids, ages 8 years, 2 years and 4 months finally got all three sleeping so the caregivers could get their nights back to themselves.

Hire Heather right away, and get your nights back!! We were worn out from long bedtime routines and lying with our 5 and 7yo's until they fell asleep. Heather was the person we needed to guide us through a bedtime revamp. She learned about our particular family and what our kids' strengths and challenges were. She crafted an effective plan and stayed with us all the way through. Her follow up is exceptional. She never gave up on us and was very positive, which instilled a sense of confidence in our whole family. She's supportive, empathetic, and nonjudgemental. We're very grateful for her guidance.

Like many new parents, We were a bit apprehensive to start sleep training with our baby, but we desperately needed better sleep for our whole family. I met Heather at a parents group and remembered she had a background in occupancy therapy which made me feel better, so I decided to reach out. We are so glad we did. Out daughter went from taking hours to rock to sleep and waking up throughout the night, to sleep through the night. We were pleasantly surprised at how successful we were with Heather's methods and support in such a short amount of time. We learned to read baby's cues and timing which helped her to settle for sleep, both at night and throughout the day for her naps. Heather was right there coaching and supporting us. If you're tired new parents, who really want your whole family to get peaceful sleep, I highly recommend Heather.

I was on the fence about starting sleep training as our son felt "too young" - after speaking with Heather, we felt certain this was the perfect time. The transformation we saw with Christians naps in just 2 days was life altering, in addition to our "3 tier" approach since he wasn't napping, still eating all night, and waking multiple times a night - Heather was SO easy to work with and available to talk through everything IN the moment. Couldn't recommend her enough!! <3

I can't recommend Heather enough. When we reached out, our nearly 2-year old was having a lot of trouble falling, and staying, asleep. Under Heather's guidance, we were able to see a huge improvement in just a few days, and implement routines that were easy to stick to (but flexible when they needed to be). It's been a month since our program with her ended and things continue to get better. There's no such thing as a "magic wand" when it comes to sleep challenges, but Heather is as close as it comes.

Heather was incredible to work with for both our 4.5 year old and 1 year old! She was so thoughtful, detailed and supportive in her approach. The custom sleep plans for both were easy to understand, implement and continue. She spent many hours with us prepping, checked in multiple times a day and, even after we were done, still made herself available. As someone who was hesitant to do this, I am kicking myself for not doing it sooner! We went from both children needing us to put them to sleep and waking up multiple times throughout the night to both of them putting themselves to sleep, soothing themselves if they wake up in the middle of the night, and getting 12 hours of sleep each night. This all happened within 3-4 days for each! I learned so much about myself and my children during this process and am so grateful for Heather. I'd highly recommend her to anyone who is struggling with sleep!

Heather was wonderful in helping us get to a place of sleep independence with our daughter! Just before our daughter's first birthday we were struggling to put her to bed and she would wake up multiple times during the night. All of this was a change for us compared to the previous 5-6 months of her being a great sleeper. With Heather's help, our daughter was going to sleep independently and staying asleep throughout the night within a week! I can't say enough good things about the process. Heather helped us find what we were comfortable with doing for our daughter and made a full bedtime routine. One of our favorite things about working with Heather was how open she was to answering our questions as things came up. She allowed us to text her throughout the bedtime process and gave us guidance on what to do next in real-time. I can't say enough good things about working with Heather, I highly recommend her for anyone with sleep training needs!!

I highly recommend working with Heather! We have done a lot of sleep training on our own with our kids in the past but it was something about this latest regression that felt impossible. Our 2.5 year old was suddenly refusing naps and refusing to stay in her room at night. I first reached out to Heather after about a week of sleepless nights but then decided to give it another try on my own. Heather was not forceful and let me decide whether or not to continue in my own time. Once we signed on with her completely the amount of support that we got was amazingly just what I needed. She was a breath of positive air when everything felt so dark. For us the sleep plan that she created was what we were already doing but it was the positive reinforcement that was so very needed as a parent. I appreciated the constant check-ins, I felt that they were necessary to keep me on a positive track but that they also didn't feel overbearing. Sleep regressions feel so debilitating but working with Heather was very empowering. My toddler now sleeps once again through the night independently and loves her naps, but more importantly I feel as though I have gained the confidence and tools to handle another regression (hoping that isn't for awhile at least).

At 3am, after being woken up for the fifth time that night by my 5 month old daughter, I hit my breaking point and began frantically searching for a sleep consultant. That's when I found Heather....and thank goodness I did! From the very first conversation, Heather was incredible. She was always available, truly knowledgeable, and deeply compassionate. Her approach felt like working with a trusted teammate who genuinely cared about our family's well-being. We never once felt judged for not having it all figured out. She met us exactly where we were and created a personalized plan that aligned perfectly with our needs and values. The results? Nothing short of amazing. We started seeing improvements right away, and soon, ALL of us were finally getting the rest we desperately needed. Heather helped pull us out of the sleep-deprived fog and into a routine that actually works. If you're struggling and unsure where to turn, don't wait another sleepless night, Heather is the real deal. I can't recommend her enough!

Before we started working with Heather, our 4-month old, Birdie, was going through a major regression. Naps were short at best and while she was sleeping through the night, it was taking more and more soothing to get her to sleep. Heather set us up with a personalized plan and routine which gave us the confidence to help Birdie get back on track with her sleep. Now she's going into her crib still awake (after a book and a cuddle) and able to drift off to sleep on her own. So glad we connected with Heather and would recommend her to anyone who asked!

Heather is amazing! My daughter went from waking up every 2-3 hours at night, to sleeping through the night in just a few days! Heather listened to my concerns and goals, and created the best sleep plan for our family. Having support during the day and at night was extremely valuable and there's no way I would have been able to make the changes to my daughter's sleep without her help. Heather answered all of my questions and was always available to talk. Improved sleep has resulted in a happier household and more enjoyable days. I am forever grateful to Heather and highly recommend her!

If I could give Heather a billion stars, I would! We hired Heather to help improve our 6-month-old daughter's sleep habits. Heather was very receptive to our concerns and sensitive to our parenting approach. She worked with us to develop a sleep plan for our daughter that took into account our baby's specific needs. She was hugely supportive during the entire process. Our baby was sleeping 8+ hours within three nights, and we never had to do "cry it out". As a result of getting better sleep at night, our daughter began eating better during the day (something that had always been a struggle for us) and was visibly happier. Working with Heather was truly a game-changer for our family. We highly recommend her services!

The sleep plan that Heather put together for us was just a small piece of the solution. Yes, it helped to have an experienced professional spell out the best steps to get to a peaceful bedtime routine with my little guy. But the support from Heather throughout the process was immeasurable. The check-ins before bedtime to cheer me on, the follow-ups after or in the morning to see how it went, the words of encouragement to keep my spirits up along the process...it all helped me get through this more than I could have expected! Thank you Heather!

How can I provide enough praise in a single review? Heather was not only extremely pleasant to work with, but she was realistic in her methods and communications with me. Heather helped us get our 3 /2 year old daughter to sleep independent of us rocking her to bed every night. What used to take 2+ hours to get my daughter down, it now takes 30 minutes, give or take. And, if my daughter wakes up in the middle of the night to use the potty, we have trained her to go back to sleep independently again. This is life changing! My mother saw Heather providing tips on sleep management for the time change and recommended I reached out to her. Thank goodness I did! THANK YOU Heather!

We are so grateful for the help and support that Heather gave us to get our 2.5 year old's sleep schedule back on track. We had made it through other children's sleep regressions but never struggled like this before - he refused to stay in his room at bedtime without someone lying next to him and would wake up and come find us if we snuck away. The tactics we had used before didn't work anymore. We discussed our challenges with Heather and she put together a comprehensive sleep plan for us. We were able to talk through our questions and concerns and, once we committed to the plan, Heather provided much-needed daily support to keep us motivated and accountable. When challenges would arise, she'd help us troubleshoot and make adjustments as necessary. After a couple of weeks, he has started going to sleep on his own and sleeping through the night! We really feel like we've gotten a fresh start and feel more empowered to keep reinforcing good sleep hygiene, with many thanks to Heather for her invaluable advice and support through this process.

Before working with Heather, our 7 month old was exclusively contact napping/sleeping, being nursed to sleep, and couldn't sleep longer than 90 mins at night. We were beyond exhausted and needed help with sleep. Heather listened to us, respected our wishes and what we were comfortable with, and created a sleep plan. Within 3-4 nights, our baby was sleeping 8-10 hour stretches at night, and taking two solid naps, all while falling asleep on his own. Heather was there basically 24/7 to answer questions and help guide us in real time on what to do. After our 3 weeks together, she left us with tons of information for the future stages/travel/adding a sibling/transitioning to a toddler bed, etc. We couldn't recommend Heather any more! Saved our sanity and our baby is so happy and rested and confident in his ability to sleep.

It's been about five months since we worked with Heather and I can truly say that it has been the absolute best thing we have done for our family. Our story is like many: lying with kids until they fell asleep, feeling trapped and resentful, kids coming in the bed during the night, sometimes pretty cute and cozy but mostly being kicked and elbowed, multiple wakeups and poor sleep all around. A sleep consultant was never something we thought we should spend money on.... but when we had our 3rd kid we really could not continue the way things were going. We had no plan and we knew we alone could not get ourselves out of the place we were in. Our oldest was 8, our middle 2, and a 4 month old baby. I thought, man...if this works... I'm honestly struggling to find the words to express how different things are now. All three kids fall asleep on their own in their beds and sleep there all night until morning. To many, that may seem normal, but if you know, you know. All Heather asked for from us was consistency, which we knew we could provide. She was right on our wavelength from the beginning, and always available and knowledgable and encouraging. It was also fun feeling we were on a team with her. Though we never met in person, we felt she understood our situation and knew/understood our kids and their resective needs. She always seemed to go above and beyond in a way that showed how passionate she is about what she does! Now I won't say it was easy. It was a LOT of changes for all of us in a short time. But Heather kept us on track through the ups and downs! I would hire her every 6 months if I needed to - just to hold on to what we have now: happy, more confident and rested kids who like their sleep space and like their routine and now feel safe at night, and happy, sane parents who now have TIME at night - to clean, to watch tv, to talk, to shower, to get ready for the next day. After working with Heather I feel that our family has more honesty, directness and trust and we as parents are better leaders. Heather, we cannot thank you enough for what you helped us accomplish here! I wish you all the blessings, and may you continue to help families the way you have helped our family.

After working with Heather over 3 weeks we can happily say our 2 year old daughter is finally sleeping again, which has been a game changer for our whole family! Her sleep challenges began during my pregnancy and worsened after the baby was born. She went from not being able to go down at bedtime, up all night and super early wake ups, to now sleeping independently in a bed almost 12 hours every night! It was not an easy process but we stuck with it and so happy to say we got the best possible outcome thanks to Heather and all of her support! We could not have done it without her.

Heather dramatically changed my daughter's journey with sleep (and our family's). We are so grateful to have found and worked with her. Our daughter was waking every 1.5-2 hours consistently and in a matter of a week we were getting the longest stretches of sleep in over two months. She has only improved from there and is now giving us 7-8 hours of consecutive night sleep. Heather offered multiple approaches based on our comfort ability and was available beyond her hours to check in and be a sounding board to all of my questions: big, small, random, weird. Her background in child development through being a pediatric occupational therapist made us feel so much more at ease with the process and offered so much more insight beyond the typical sleep consultant. She was an amazing resource, support, and friend. She is personable, kind and is very passionate about sleep and infant development. I will continue to recommend her to anyone that will listen. My husband and I are truly thankful to have met her!

As a second time parent I thought I could figure out infant sleep on my own but baby #2 was completely different from #1 and I was really struggling. I reached out to Heather after meeting her at a local moms group event and it was the best thing I could have done. We did a phone call to understand the situation then Heather put together a sleep plan and supported me every day for 3 weeks via text. Texting made it so easy to communicate with her to ask questions, track progress, and make adjustments. My baby went from 20 min naps and waking up every 45 minutes throughout the night to 2 hour naps and sleeping for 5 hour stretches at night. Heather is a great coach; she is empathetic, encouraging, and supportive without being pushy. I highly recommend working with her to address child sleep challenges. Her services are worth every penny!

Before working with Heather, we were completely exhausted. My toddler has sensory processing differences, and sleep had always been a struggle. Traditional sleep advice never felt like the right fit for him, and I was nervous about approaches that would overwhelm his nervous system. Heather's OT background is what made me reach out. She understood immediately that my son needed gentle, supportive structure — not a one-size-fits-all plan. She took his sensory needs into account and created a thoughtful, calm approach that felt safe and doable for our family. The results have been incredible. Bedtime is predictable, night wakings have significantly decreased, and most importantly, my son is more regulated and confident in his ability to fall back asleep. Our entire household feels calmer. Heather was supportive, responsive, and truly invested in our success. If you have a child with sensory differences and feel unsure where to start with sleep, she is absolutely the person you want on your team.

We knew what we "should" do but we needed someone to back us up and understand how hard it can be. Heather did just that from the first conversation. She didn't shame us for still giving bottles in the middle of night she was understanding and provided us with guidance on how to get our boys sleeping. Heather was easy to talk to and was really available at any point through the whole three week process. We can confidently say both boys sleep through the night now and the twin that was the most challenging when it came to sleep has been doing amazing!! Heather is seriously a life saver! My 10 month old was still waking up to nurse 3X a night and i was hardly getting any sleep. With just a few simple suggestions the wakeups started to get less and less frequent within a short period of time. Now my daughter is sleeping 11+ hours straight nearly every night and I haven't had to nurse her in the middle of the night in a while. Heather was amazing to work with! Before working with her, I was struggling with connecting the dots to successful sleep (really what is drowsy but awake???), having my 6m old sleep in her crib without always be contact held and really coming to a point where I needed help with sleep. She listened to my husband and I, keeping in mind our wishes for routine and closeness with our daughter but our hope for longer stretches of sleep at nights and improved naps. We must have timed working with Heather perfectly because our daughter took to Heathers plan and suggestions right away. She sleeps soundly, has been able to start self soothing and enjoying her time in the crib. Too good to be true? I am/was also shocked. Thank you heather for your help! We are so appreciative!

I just want to share a HUGE SHOUT OUT to Heather of @NightNightSleepConsulting for giving us a better sleep at night! 👏 I never really believed in sleep training. I did not like the CIO method, and everything else I have tried basically failed me and Alara always ended up sleeping on us for naps or in our bed at night. From months 6-12 she somehow managed her way to only slee w/ us, and I was way too tired to even bother fighting her on it. But then, Tony (the hubs) said enough is enough - we need our bed back & we need to be able to do things, especially during nap time! I always hear people talk about sleep training. Some raved about their consultants & Taking Cara Babies, and many gave me tips + tricks and some even sent me PDFs and a routine to follow. I wasn't convinced it would work. Well, we moved on and called her anyway. We had our initial call and I shared all the things happening before/during + after Alara sleeps. She shared why she struggles to sleep alone and it all made sense. She gave us a sleep plan and let us tweak it to what works best for us (I can't stick to an actual schedule due to work & life). I learned her wake hours, when she is truly tired and more importantly -- I was able to understand her cry levels which was tremendous to understand in this. I didn't let her cry incosolably, and if she was a level 7/8 she didn't cry no more than 10-15mins. That is what was key for me. We had Heather holding our hand through this process of what felt overwhelming (especially first few days) for 3 weeks. In the middle of it, we all got sick so we let her snuggle us etc, and Heather was always checking in and we went back to work when she got better. I would constantly harass Heather by sending 100s of videos of her either sleeping or crying, venting that she wont stop crying or she just wont go down at all. Sharing our losses and biggest wins through the journey. Sometimes, I am tempted to still share our wins & losses. 😂 Heather was absolutely supportive throughout the entire experience and has changed my perception of sleep training, let alone hiring a consultant for help! Having her by our side has been a HUGE GAME CHANGER! Today, my girl goes down forr naps with no issues. Heck, she is evenn singing to herself haha! At night, we put her down any time from 7-8ish and she will sleepp straight through until 6am! 👏👏 its nice having my bed back 🙌 All of this to say, if you are struggling getting your baby to nap or sleep on their own & you want relief, call Heather! I promise she is so worth it!

Working with Heather was truly one of the best decisions we made as new parents! She supported me not only during sleep training, but even earlier—through pregnancy and the newborn stage—helping us gently build healthy habits while always offering reassurance and perspective. Those early months can feel overwhelming, and Heather was such a steady, calming presence throughout. She became a real sounding board for us, always listening and helping us think through adjustments in a way that felt comfortable for our family. She never pushed strict changes or made us feel pressured—everything was collaborative and tailored to what felt right for us and our son. The results still amaze me!! Our little "Velcro," contact-nap baby transformed into Mr. Independent within just 2–3 weeks. We went from short cat naps to 1.5–2 hour daytime naps, and now he sleeps 11.5–12 hours at night—truly, not even joking! I can't recommend Heather enough. Whether you're a brand-new parent or a seasoned one looking for support, she is knowledgeable, kind, and incredibly effective!!

Working with Heather was wonderful and really eased the anxiety I had about sleep training as a first time mom. I struggle with insomnia and my daughter not sleeping well was really, really difficult. We started sleep training around fourteen weeks and it was sooo much less traumatic compared to the horror stories you see online. Our daughter did amazing and took to it so quickly. Not having to spend hours trying to get her to sleep in her crib each night literally changed our lives! Heather was the best cheerleader and will be an amazing resource to have as our girl grows!

Heather was an absolute wonder to work with! After more than two years of testing, evaluations, sleep studies, and advice from medical professionals, Heather was the first specialist who we felt truly saw our child as a whole individual and created a plan customized for him and our family. Our son is a sensory-seeking, neurodivergent 6-year-old who had been diagnosed with "pediatric sleep insomnia," and we were told it was "just behavioral." In just four weeks with Heather, we saw significant progress—from multiple lengthy middle-of-the-night wakeups to independent sleep onset and sleeping 10–11 hours straight. We appreciated Heather's OT background, her parent guidance, her step-by-step texting support, and her resources. We felt supported and seen by Heather, and her approach worked for us and for our son. The independence and confidence he has gained from sleeping through the night has not only given him (and us) the rest we so desperately needed, but has also helped him feel more confident and independent at school and throughout his day. We highly recommend working with Heather and Night Night Sleep Consulting! Thank you!

Heather was truly incredible to work with. She supported me and my family even before our son was born — helping us prepare for the sleep changes ahead, understand what to expect, and feel confident going into parenthood. Once we started sleep training together, she made sure we always felt comfortable, supported, and never alone in the process. Even after our formal time together “ended,” Heather was still available for questions, guidance, and reassurance whenever I reached out. Our son went from being a full contact napper to genuinely loving his own bed and sleep routine, and that transformation felt impossible before working with her. She gave our family such an incredible gift: great sleep, confidence, and a routine that truly changed our daily lives for the better. We are so grateful for her!

My wife and I first started working with Heather when my son was less than six months old. We have continued to seek her out for help to this day, and my son is four years old. She has been there through every regression and gone above and beyond. My son is a great sleeper thanks to Heather, and it has had immeasurable positive impacts on my family.

Frequent night waking

Our son was around 8 months old when we connected with Heather regarding our son’s sleeping. He wasn’t napping well and nighttime was definitely a struggle. Heather was there every step of the way to support us while we sleep trained our son and encouraged us to keep going when we faltered. Our son is 4 now and we still reach out to Heather with questions and advice, and she never steers us wrong. We owe it all to her!

Toddler bedtime or transition
★★★★★

Before working with Heather, we were completely exhausted. My toddler has sensory processing differences, and sleep had always been a struggle. Traditional sleep advice never felt like the right fit for him, and I was nervous about approaches that would overwhelm his nervous system. Heather’s OT background is what made me reach out.
