I am a Certified Pediatric Sleep Consultant, Certified Parent Coach, Certified Co-Parenting Specialist, and trained Newborn Care Specialist. I am the owner of Solutions with Nan, a thriving coaching and consulting practice where I support families directly while also mentoring and guiding other professionals in the pediatric sleep and parent coaching space. I currently serve as a board member for the International Pediatric Sleep Association and the Child Advisory Council. I am also an active member of the National Parenting Education Network along with several other child-focused organizations.
I have been a featured speaker at the NPEN Annual Conference and Nannypalooza, have led workshops for the International Nanny Association and numerous parent / mom groups, and have been a guest on multiple podcasts where I have shared my expertise on parenting, sleep, and building a meaningful business.
Over the years, I have supported more than 1700 families in finding better sleep, more joy, and a sense of calm within their homes. In 2025, I launched Nan’s Village, an app and continuing education platform designed for her clients, students, and any parent seeking guidance on sleep, behavior, and the day-to-day realities of raising children with confidence and clarity.
I currently live on Table Rock Lake with my husband Michael. We chose the quiet lake life following Michael’s retirement from a busy medical practice. Together, we enjoy travel and adventures while surrounded by our four grown children, their spouses, our fourteen grandchildren and our golden retriever, Buddy.
My philosophy
Parenting / Sleep has never been as challenging as it is today. The judgment, the comparison and the overload of information has parents confused and overwhelmed. Parents have been told that there is a perfect way to parent, a perfect way for sleep to happen in their homes and the highlight reels show it happening … so it must be true for everyone. But then we know that there is no such thing as a perfect parent and highlight reels are just that, orchestrated and staged highlights of an unattainable standard of parenting. These parents need a village. I love being that village for them … educating, managing expectations of themselves but also of their children. Supporting them as they learn a new way of communicating, connecting and parenting.
