4-Month Regression
A family with 2-year-old triplets came to me because the children were unable to fall asleep independently and struggled sharing the same room. The parents wanted an approach that was supportive but effective, so we used a check-and-console method tailored to each child’s needs. Within one week, the triplets were falling asleep independently and sleeping successfully in the same room with minimal disruptions. The family finally had calm, consistent bedtimes and more restful nights
Toddler Transition
Challenge: Both twins would only fall asleep while being held and fed with a bottle, creating a strong sleep association and frequent night waking. Parents were exhausted and struggling to get either child to sleep independently.
Approach: We started with a shush-and-pat method for the first few days to provide comfort while gradually reducing the need to be held. Once they became more comfortable in their cribs, we transitioned to a check-and-console approach, allowing them space to self-soothe while still offering reassurance at timed intervals.
Outcome: Within a short period, both twins learned to fall asleep independently without needing to be held or fed to sleep. Night wakings significantly decreased, and the family was finally able to establish a consistent, peaceful bedtime routine.
