Valerie Hudson

I describe my approach as structured, supportive, and very personalized to each family.

I use an evidence-based method that gives babies and toddlers the space to learn independent sleep, while still ensuring they feel supported and responded to throughout the process. I’m not a “leave them to cry” coach, I guide parents in understanding what their child’s cues mean, when to give space, and when to step in with calm, consistent reassurance.

A big part of my approach is clarity and consistency. Children thrive when expectations are predictable, so I focus on helping families create a solid foundation with schedule, environment, and routines, and then follow through with a plan that makes sense for their child’s temperament and their parenting style.

I’m also very hands-on in how I support parents. Whether I’m working in-home or virtually, I walk families through exactly what to look for and how to respond in real time, so they feel confident continuing on their own. My goal isn’t just better sleep, it’s helping parents feel calm, capable, and supported long after we’ve finished working together.

At the end of the day, I believe independent sleep and a strong parent-child attachment absolutely go hand in hand. When everyone is well-rested and interactions are consistent and responsive, that bond often becomes even stronger.
My philosophy

I believe healthy sleep is foundational for both children and parents to thrive. My approach combines responsive support, age-appropriate structure, and consistency to help families build sustainable sleep habits while preserving strong attachment and connection

4-Month Regression
A 14-month-old toddler came to me waking 2–4 times each night and relying on 4oz whole milk bottles back to get back to sleep each time. Her parents were exhausted and concerned about her sleep, development, daytime eating, and how upcoming travel would impact an already difficult routine. Through guided night weaning prior to sleep training, two nights of in-home support, and two weeks of virtual follow-up, she was sleeping through the night independently by night two and fully nap trained within the first weekend. As sleep improved, her daytime intake dramatically increased, with mom reporting that she now “eats SO well during the day” and seems noticeably happier overall. Most importantly, the family regained restful nights, confidence in their routines, and the ability to enjoy time together again.
Toddler Transition
Parents of 7-month-old twins (5 months adjusted) came to me feeling exhausted by frequent night waking, lingering night feeds, early morning wake ups, and schedules that no longer matched their girls’ developmental needs. They wanted a supportive, responsive approach that would help both babies sleep more independently while still feeling confident caring for two infants at once. During two nights of in-home support, both babies settled independently on night one without needing check-ins, and only one required a brief reassurance check on night two. We also navigated illness during our time together, which allowed me to coach the parents in real time on how to appropriately support sleep during sickness while maintaining consistency and protecting progress. By combining an updated age-appropriate schedule, strategic use of a dream feed, gradual night weaning, and clear overnight routines, the family saw major improvements in overnight sleep, early morning wake ups, and overall confidence in managing sleep for both twins moving forward.

Valerie helped me and my family so much over the 2 weeks we had her! My 6 month old was only partially sleeping in his crib but would wake throughout the night and not go back to sleep unless he was in our bed. He also wouldn’t get great naps in his crib either. We felt like we had no time to ourselves to get chores or errands done and we weren’t getting the best sleep either with him sleeping in our bed every night. Valerie helped guide us to get my son to sleep through the night in his own room in 2 nights!! And in the 2 weeks we had her helped us train him for his naps as well! She’s almost always on call, incredibly helpful and patient and I couldn’t recommend her enough! If you’re considering getting a sleep consultant but aren’t sure I couldn’t recommend Valerie enough! My daughter, my third child who was born 10 years after my first, did not sleep for the first 15 months of her life. As a seasoned mother, I thought for sure I could figure it out, and yet nothing I seemed to do worked. When I say she didn’t sleep, we would be up 3-4 hours in the middle of the night. I was delirious trying to work a full time job and mother two older children. I saw Val’s business on instagram and knew I needed to reach out. When I told my husband I thought we should purchase her package, he didn’t agree but said he would support my decision. Val got all of the information needed to come up with a personalized plan for our family. Within 4 days, my daughter slept through the night for the first time. After 1 week, my husband turned to me and said, “that money was the best we have ever spent.” When I tell you this was life changing, I am not exaggerating. I was at a breaking point, and Val’s help changed that. Val provided so much support and expertise. She was kind and understanding and answered every question. She truly knows what she is doing!! My daughter is about to turn 2 and while she is still a light sleeper, she now has the tools to get herself back to sleep and sleep through the night. Thank you Val! Sourced from Google Reviews.

I hired Valerie for my 4 month old baby girl to help with her sleep. Best money we have ever spent!! At the time our daughter was still waking up every 3ish hours to eat, and would not sleep unless I was holding her/she was in bed with me. Valerie spent the first two nights at our house - those were the hardest two nights and I didn’t have to do anything! Valerie’s approach is gentle and she works with you on what you are comfortable with. After the first two nights, Valerie is available via text or call for questions/concerns and she follows up with a detailed sleep plan and notes. She is very knowledgeable, responsive, easy to talk to, and understanding. My daughter now only wakes up once to feed (and that’s because I’m okay with it, Valerie told me how to wean her off that if I want to) and any time she wakes up in the middle of the night she can get herself back to sleep! It’s incredible. 10000% would recommend! Sourced from Google Reviews.

Valerie was incredible. I used her services when my son was 2 1/2 to 3 months old and whenever my son was 4 1/2 months old for formal sleep training. She’s very knowledgeable, kind, patient, and is willing to jump in and help troubleshoot whenever I needed her. She traveled to my home twice to help me with nap training as well as formal sleep training, and provided me thorough tips and tricks to help my baby sleep better. If you’re looking for someone to help you understand baby sleep, no matter If they’re a baby or a toddler, I would highly Recommend Valerie’s services!! Sourced from Google Reviews.

Hire Val!!! I could write an essay on how much I appreciate her but I’ll do my best to keep it brief. She is so patient and kind. I needed a sleep consultant to support my husband and I on sleep training our 5 month old who was a snoo baby at night and contact napper during the day and she was referred to us by another sleep consultant who we were initially referred to but was booked. It was meant to be—she’s amazing! She helped guide my husband during the first 2 nights and our baby’s first transition/wake up, and then guided me during the day during naps for 2 weeks. I could not have done it without her. She is a mother herself and having her guidance to get our precious girl on a schedule and support her in soothing herself back to sleep has been life changing for all of us. I think it’s important to mention that she was able to get access to our baby cam to actually see our girl and guide us in real time, which was important to me, as I wanted her to see our baby and make sure we were doing check ins any time they were necessary. If you need help getting your baby on a schedule or to sleep train them, Val is your girl! Sourced from Google Reviews.

As a tired mom who was dealing with a toddler that took over an hour each night to get to bed, I was at my wits end. My toddler was up every 3-4 hours each night and bedtime became something my husband and I dreaded. On top of that, he was still sleeping in our room at almost 2 years old and somehow ended up in our bed every night, leaving this mama getting little to no sleep. He was always fussy and threw tantrums non stop. We debated on getting a sleep coach but my husband was skeptical that it wouldn’t work. He finally agreed to give it a try as we were both exhausted and needed help and we are so glad we did! Val made us a schedule to follow, walked us through our new night time routine (as we switched him to his own room with Val’s help), and she even stayed the night to sleep train him on the first 2 nights which tend to be the toughest. She was very informative and everything she recommended for us to do worked. He was sleeping through the night with a 7:30 pm bedtime within the first 3 days. We couldn’t believe how quickly we saw success! His tantrums have significantly decreased and my husband and I have time to ourselves at night again. Our quality of life has changed drastically. If I knew what I know now, I would have hired Val a lot sooner. It was the best decision we have ever made and Val is incredible to work with and made it so easy! 10/10 recommend! I reached out to Val for support with my newborn. Val is incredibly compassionate, encouraging and responsive. She was much more than just a sleep consultant to me, she became a mama friend who I could turn to. Although I didn’t feel that my baby was an appropriate age to formally sleep train just yet, she helped me with great advice and changes I could make to help both my baby and I get more sleep. Formal sleep training a few months later turned out to be a breeze and I thank Val for her newborn plan and the confidence she instilled in me to do it. I didn’t feel like I was alone. She even gave me helpful information and tips for transitioning from nursing to exclusively pumping and giving my baby a bottle. Her support was truly invaluable to me. I highly recommend her!!!
